April 30, 2025: Prajneya defended his thesis and passed with flying colors! Both referees provided an evaluation of "exceeded expectations" and nominated the thesis for best thesis award (at least unofficially on the evaluation form :)). Congrats, Prajneya!

April 29, 2025: Vishnu visited BITS Pilani Hyderabad and gave a talk to the CS and cogsci-allied departments on the work being done at the MANDA Lab with the goal of inviting collaborations. 

April 8, 2025: Pritha and Aruneek's submission, “An Ethological Interpretation of Emotions: Some Empirical Data,” got selected as an oral presentation at https://behaviourindia2025.in/, a definitive platform to share ongoing research in the field of ethology! Congrats, Pritha and Aruneek!

April 4, 2025: Vishnu gave an invited lecture on The myth of intrinsic stimulus memorability, at IIT Delhi as part of their cognitive science M.Sc program seminar series (https://blogs.iiit.ac.in/monthly_news/dr-vishnu-sreekumar-4/).

April 4, 2025: Atharva's paper (in collaboration with Kamalakar Dadi), "Behavioral signatures of temporal context retrieval during continuous recognition," got accepted as a full paper to CogSci 2025 (pending revisions and submission of the camera-ready version). Congrats, Atharva. 

Feb 2025: Pritha and Aruneek's submission, "Modalities and Music: Is music more than what we hear?" got accepted for presentation at ICMPC 2025. Congrats, Pritha and Aruneek!

Oct 2024: Prajneya and Eshika got their paper accepted to WACV 2025. This started as an independent study project that Eshika did in the lab, later improved significantly with expert input and mentorship from her thesis adviser, Dr. Makarand Tapaswi. Congrats Prajneya and Eshika, this is an excellent start to our collaboration with Makarand's lab at CVIT!
